“I Am Not Even Attending The Concert”, Says Delhi Woman After Spending A Whole Day Trying To Buy Coldplay Tickets

The female, Naomi Barton, said that the ticket booking event itself has turned into somewhat of an impromptu family gathering and she is in queue only to buy tickets for her family

The frenzy around Coldplay’s concert tickets doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Among the stories of several hardcore fans, one of a woman who claims to be uninterested in attending the concert has attracted the attention of Netizens.

The female, Naomi Barton, shared her experience in a post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and said, “I don't even like Coldplay but my entire family has harangued me into contributing my devices to The Grand Ticket Buying and now I am 22,000 in queue and they are 1,50,000 in queue so my whole day is going to be spent looking at this page and carefully not refreshing it.”

She further said that the ticket booking event itself has turned into somewhat of an impromptu family gathering. “Note that I am not even attending the concert. This is my concert,” she said in another post on the viral thread.

Barton went ahead to explain that she opted to read a book while waiting in queue for the tickets. However, she soon realised that all the relatively cheaper seats were now sold out. She said that her family then went on to send her extra money to try and buy the standing seats in the concert.

“All cheap seats are gone and so I have been sent extra money to get standing seats. Frantically delusional conversations are happening to rationalise spending 10k more than budgeted,” she wrote in her post.

Soon, however, the ticket prices touched Rs 12,000 and she shared her doubts on whether spending so much money for a single concert was even worth it. “Discussions are underway as to whether the 12,000 bucks tickets are actually good or a scam. This is the entire amount of money I pay for rent. I am beginning to lose respect for my cousins.”

However, all the efforts go in vain as tickets get completely sold out when Barton reaches behind 1,592 people in queue. However, she said that she felt quite positive about having so much money in her bank account.
