Social media has made it easy for people to reach out to celebrities like actors, singers and even authors. Sometimes they get the weirdest DMs on Twitter. Author Preeti Shenoy has shared one such post of a school student asking her to complete a portion of their homework.

Taking to Twitter, Preeti wrote, "And look at this message I received just now ! A kid wants me to do their homework for them!”

She shared a screenshot of the chat in which the student starts by saying that they study in the 10th standard. Soon the author is asked by the student to help write a poem on kindness.

"Hello ma'am. I am a 10th grader, and I am having a competition to get a 10 lines poem on kindness tomorrow. Could you please write one for me. I would be grateful," read the request by the student, which was politely refused by the author.

Since being shared the post has amassed close to 8,000 views and several comments.

"10th grade is not a kid, mam. However, it's good that you refused. It should do it's hw itself," commented one user on the post.

"hahahaha.. Tell the kid to ask chatgpt. But amazed at his/her courage!," wrote another user.

While a third wrote, "Doesn't look like the kid wrote it, must be one of the parents."

"Could you please write 10 lines of poem for me. It's not my homework," joked another user.
