The fourth season of Ekta Kapoor's superhit 'Naagin' series, featuring Nia Sharma in one of the lead roles, is among the most awaited TV shows currently. As revealed earlier, 'Naagin 4' too will see two 'naagins' and the makers are yet to finalise their second lead actress. However, the latest buzz suggests that another talented actress has joined the cast of 'Naagin 4'. TV actress Sayantani Ghosh, who is currently seen playing Mohnish Bahl's daughter 'Dr. Anjali' in Surbhi Chandna starrer Star Plus show 'Sanjivani 2' will reportedly be a part of 'Naagin 4'.

According to an entertainment portal, the talented actress has bagged an important role in Colors' upcoming supernatural show 'Naagin 4'.

Revealing the same, a Tellychakkar report states that, "Sayantani is known for her stint in shows like Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, Naamkarann and is currently part of Star Plus' Sanjivani, has been roped to play a pivotal lead role in Naagin 4."

However, the actress as well as 'Naagin 4' makers are yet to react on the same.


Coincidentally, Sayantani Ghosh played the lead role in Zee TV's 'Naaginn - Vaadon Ki Agniparikshaa' several years before Ekta Kapoor's 'Naagin' featuring Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan hit the TV screens. Sayantani's 'Naaginn' fetched good TRPs for the channel and went off-air in 2009 after a good run of one and a half years. The show was expected to make a comeback with second season however the makers and channel later scrapped the idea. Hence, it won't be wrong to say that original 'Naaginn' Sayantani is finally making her comeback as a 'naagin' on TV after a decade.

Coming back to 'Naagin 4', Ekta Kapoor shared a new teaser in September which has left fans curious as it just gives the glimpses of two actresses as 'icchadhari naagins' without revealing their faces. The actresses are seen walking in a forest while searching for 'naagmani' in the teaser.


Now, everyone is waiting for announcement of second 'naagin' and popular names like Ankita Lokhande, Aalisha Panwar and Jamin Bhasin are said to be in contention for the role. While 'Kundali Bhagya' fame Manit Joura might play the male lead, Supriya Shukla, Geetanjali Tikekar and Rakhi Vijan will be seen playing pivotal roles. The revenge saga will take the weekend slot on Colors channel.
