New Delhi: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader K Kavitha on Sunday slammed the Centre for again raising the price of commercial LPG. The price of commercial gas has been revised upwards by Rs 102.50, pushing the price to Rs 2,355.50.
The member of the Telangana Legislative Council said in a tweet, "The actions and decisions of the Modi government reflect on their insensitivity towards the common man." Kavitha said the hike of Rs 102 in the price of LPG commercial cylinder is the second major hike after Assembly elections in the states.
"What does the government expect, people to shut the shops and sit at home," asked Kavitha, who is daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

The government has raised the prices of commercial LPG cylinder for the second time after the end of recent Assembly elections, along with fuel prices and prices of other commodities. Former Member of Parliament, Kavitha, has been an active voice in raising people’s issues and rising inflation.
In the month of March, Kavitha along with other TRS senior leaders hit the streets in Hyderabad to protest against the increase in fuel and LPG prices.
Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali, Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha along with other ruling party leaders have staged protests by setting up stoves at Dharna Chowk in Hyderabad and cooked food on road. Kavitha demanded the Centre to roll back the prices hiked.
