In the wake of the suicide of a government job aspirant on Saturday, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan directed Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police and the Secretary of TSPSC to file a detailed report on the matter within 48 hours. The Governor also extended her condolences to the kin of the deceased woman.  


According to ANI, Rajbhavan Press Secretary said, "Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan directs the Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police and the Secretary, TSPSC to send a detailed report within 48 hours on the suicide of a 23-year-old competitive examination candidate, Pravallika. She extends her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved parents and family members."

M Pravalika, a 23-year-old woman, who was preparing for Telangana State Public Service Commission exam, was found dead by suicide at her hostel in Ashok Nagar of Hyderabad. Ashok Nagar is the hub of government job aspirants in the state. 


Soon after the information, hundreds of students gathered outside the hostel and started to stage the protest. The students were joined by BJP MP Laxman and Congress leader Anil Kumar Yadav.  Political parties also blamed K Chandrasekhar Rao-led government for the death. The BJP and Congress demanded the government release the suicide note of the student. 


 BJP MP K Laxman, taking to X said, "The suicide of a hardworking student, Kum. Pravallika, is extremely painful news. She was diligently preparing for government examinations for many months. But due to repeated cancellations and postponements of exams by the BRS Govt, she has taken such extreme step."
