After a 23-year-old woman job aspirant died by suicide in Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad, BJP and Congress in Telangana started to blame the BRS-led government for the death of the woman in the poll-bound state. Amid protests by several government job aspirants in the locality which is a hub for government job aspirants, both the parties demanded that the suicide letter of the woman who was preparing for a competitive exam be made public.

In the poll-bound state, BJP MP K Laxman, taking to X said, "The suicide of a hardworking student, Kum. Pravallika, is extremely painful news. She was diligently preparing for government examinations for many months."

"But due to repeated cancellations and postponements of exams by the BRS Govt, she has taken such extreme step," he tweeted.

Laxman also met the protesters at the spot. He demanded that the suicide letter of the woman should be made public. He demanded justice for the woman who died due to the alleged "sheer negligence" of the state government.

However, he was detained by the police.

Telangana Congress also blamed the BRS government.

Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy said, "Thousands of voices are demanding justice on behalf of Pravallika, the girl who committed suicide in Ashok Nagar, but KCR is not listening. Human lives are not valued under this gentleman's regime."

K Chandrashekar Rao's government already ran into a controversy after the question paper leak of recruitment exams conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission.
