Telangana LS Polls: BJP's KV Reddy Declares Rs 4,568 Cr Assets, 8 Candidates Cross Rs 100 Cr Mark
According to the affidavits submitted by candidates from various political parties in Telangana, more than 30 contestants have declared assets exceeding Rs 10 crore.
Eight Lok Sabha candidates in Telangana have disclosed family assets exceeding Rs 100 crore, with BJP candidate K Vishweshwar Reddy from the Chevella constituency leading with assets worth Rs 4,568 crore. Notably, the top three wealthiest candidates are contesting from the Chevella Lok Sabha segment.
In the second position is Congress candidate Ranjit Reddy from Chevella, who declared family assets totaling Rs 435.33 crore, with liabilities of Rs 23 crore. His movable assets amount to Rs 294.33 crore, while immovable assets stand at Rs 141 crore. Occupying the third position is the BRS candidate from Chevella, Kasani Gyaneshwar, who disclosed both movable and immovable assets totaling Rs 228.46 crore, according to a report on PTI.
Furthermore, BJP candidate K Madhavi Latha, contesting from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, declared family assets amounting to Rs 218.38 crore. Her family also bears liabilities amounting to Rs 27 crore.
Madhavi Latha is poised to contest against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Congress' Sameer Waliullah in the Hyderabad constituency.
In addition to the list of wealthy candidates, Nama Nageswara Rao, the BRS candidate from Khammam Lok Sabha constituency, declared family assets totaling Rs 155.89 crore, encompassing both movable and immovable assets.
BB Patil, the BJP candidate from Zahirabad segment, disclosed family assets amounting to Rs 151.68 crore.
Similarly, Kamy Mallesh, contesting on the BRS ticket from Zahirabad, declared family assets worth Rs 145.33 crore.
Furthermore, Nizamabad's sitting BJP MP, D Arvind, declared assets valued at Rs 109.89 crore, alongside liabilities amounting to Rs 30.67 crore.
He will face Bajireddy Goverdhan of the BRS and T Jeevan Reddy from the Congress in the election.
