Telangana: CM KCR Appoints Expert Panel To Deal With Omicron

Telangana: The Telangana government is planning to take measures Omicron. According to the reports, the state government set up a cabinet sub-committee to handle the situation. The new strain Omicron is causing widespread concern.
The four-member group, led by state Health Minister T Harish Rao, would recommend the state government how to deal with the present situation created by the pandemic and speed up the Covid-19 vaccination and testing process.
The panel members are to be Panchayati Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao, Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao, and Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy.

It is learned that the Cabinet meeting chaired by CM K Chandrashekar Rao was held at Pragati Bhavan. During the visit, the Cabinet reviewed the Health Department's readiness for public health and medical services, follow-up activities, the progress of Covid vaccines across the state, availability of medicines, oxygen bed capacity and other topics. Officials told the cabinet that the medical department was fully prepared to deal with the new variant and that all kinds of medicines, equipment and human resources were fully available.
Telangana CM KCR instructed all the ministers should visit the districts and conduct a review on the pandemic situation. Nirmal, Kumaram Bhim, Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts should be given special attention, KCR said.
