Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar held a high-level review meeting on the situation of rains and floods in Telangana at Pragathi Bhavan on Monday. Talking to the ministers and public representatives on the phone, CM KCR expressed his concern about the security measures.


The Chief Minister enquired about the flood in the Godavari river, the river flow and the flood situation in tributaries of Godavari. Precautionary measures are suggested by checking the flood conditions on the screen. Instructions are being issued to the concerned authorities on immediate action to be taken wherever necessary. CM KCR made it clear that the government machinery is ready to face any situation.


Heavy rains in Hyderabad 


Heavy rainfall is being recorded in many parts of Hyderabad. The Meteorological department has announced the rainfall figures from Monday morning to afternoon. 3.5 mm rainfall in Ramanthapur, 3.3 mm in Bandlaguda, 2.8 mm in Hayathnagar, 2.8 mm in Bansilalpet, 2.3 mm in Sitafal Mandi Basti, 2.0 mm in Mushirabad, 2.0 mm in Nacharam has been recorded.

Telangana State BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Department Minister Gangula Kamalakar stated that because Telangana is experiencing significant rains, the government must be entirely on high alert and ready to assist those living in low-lying areas.


The Minister stated that although the projects, ponds, and rivers were filled with flood water, there was no loss of life or property. The Karimnagar district is still under red alert, and many instructions have been given on all precautions to be taken by the people.
