Hyderabad: BJP leaders and activists across the state are holding 'Bheem Deeksha' on Thursday in protest of CM K Chandrashekar Rao's remarks to rewrite the country's constitution.
BJP state president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar said they would not give up until CM KCR publicly apologise to the people over the comments he made about rewriting the new constitution.
Karnataka MP Munuswamy, state MPs Dharmapuri Aravind and Soyam Baburao, Parliamentary Party office secretary Kamarsu Balasubramaniam, Union Water Resources Adviser Vedire Sriram, party state general secretary Bangaru Shruthi and coordinator Nune Balaraj were present at the meeting.
On this occasion, Bandi Sanjay spoke to the media at Telangana Bhavan in Delhi. He said that BJP leaders and activists are holding 'Bheem Deeksha' on Thursday in protest of KCR's comments about rewriting the constitution.
The BJP ranks across Telangana have taken up these initiations. Several BJP leaders have expressed solidarity with Bandi Sanjay's Deeksha.
Meanwhile, expressing dissatisfaction over Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's idea of a 'new constitution', Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A Revanth Reddy has called upon the Congress cadre to stage a protest in front of the Ambedkar statue at district and Mandal centers on Thursday and Friday.
