Amid rumours of a change in Telangana's BJP president post, the party's national general secretary and party in-charge for Telangana Tarun Chugh denied any plans to remove Bandi Sanjay Kumar ahead of Assembly election scheduled to be held later this year.

"How can there be a change at this stage?" asked Chugh. He further stated that there would be no changes until the next election, IANS reported.

There were reports in a section of the media that Union Culture and Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy might replace Bandi Sanjay as the party's state president. Notably, some leaders, including MLA Eatala Rajender and former MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, are reportedly dissatisfied with Bandi Sanjay's leadership.

In response to these developments, the BJP's central leadership had summoned Eatala Rajender and Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy to Delhi last week. The two leaders met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda. Following their visit, Bandi Sanjay also visited Delhi to meet the central leaders.

Bandi Sanjay has also denied reports of an impending change in the state leadership and alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had conspired to create divisions within the BJP.

On allegations made by Jamnuna, the wife of MLA Eatala Rajender, that BRS MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy was plotting to harm her husband, Bandi Sanjay called for a thorough investigation by the government. He reiterated that the party was actively working to strengthen itself from the booth level.

On Wednesday, Bandi Sanjay warmly welcomed the ‘vistaraks’ (a person who expands or amplifies something) who arrived in Telangana as part of the 'Mera Booth Sabse Mazbooth' programme, which aims to strengthen the party nationwide.

Around 650 vistaraks from other states arrived in Telangana, and Bandi Sanjay personally greeted them at Secunderabad Railway Station. Taking to Twitter, he announced that the vistaraks would tour Telangana, actively engaging in activities to reinforce the party at the booth level.
