Hyderabad: Telangana Health Minister Harish Rao, during the launch of the T-Diagnostic Mini-hub in Hyderabad's Narsingi on Wednesday, said that notification for 13,000 jobs in the health sector would be released soon.


Speaking on this occasion, minister Harish Rao said that the salaries of Asha workers have been increased, and the Health Department budget has doubled in the TRS government. Minister Harish Rao said that steps had been taken to ensure no shortage of medicines in government hospitals and Basthi Dawakhanas (Primary Health Centres) in the state.






He said patients could currently access 57 diagnostic services at each PHC. The number of diagnostic services at PHCs will be extended to 134 in the coming months. Asha workers were conducting tests at home, which was a testament to better governance.

Minister Harish Rao suggested that MLAs and corporators should also visit government hospitals in the state whenever possible and look into the medical services and facilities provided to the people.


Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, MP Ranjit Reddy, MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy, MLA Prakash Goud, several TRS leaders and health officials were present at the launch of T-diagnostic mini-hub at Narsingi.
