Telangana government has announced the exam papers for SSC Public Examinations for the academic year 2023 will be slashed from eleven to six papers in order to reduce the burden on the students. The state government had earlier reduced the number of papers for the last two academic years due to the covid pandemic and decided to continue with the format.

Even after the number of papers was reduced in the academic year 2020-21, all the examinations could not be held due to the pandemic. Students who registered for exams were all declared to pass and were allotted grades considering their internal assessment marks.

During the academic year 2021-22, the SSC exams were conducted for six papers and results were announced too. Now, the reduction of papers has been extended for the current academic year as well.

“The government has reduced the number of papers in the SSC Public Exams 2023 to six papers and 100 per cent syllabus will be covered for the exams,” a senior official confirmed as quoted by Telangana Today report.

Earlier, the Andhra Pradesh government introduced a six-paper pattern for SSC Examinations for the 2022-23 academic year.

In accordance with the directive, the government would connect its schools with CBSE and train the first group of students to take the CBSE public examination in the academic year 2024–2025.

As a result, starting with the academic year 2022–2023, the government will align the SSC examinations with the CBSE's six-question paper pattern rather than the current eleven tests.
