Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attacked the Telangana government saying that he was pained at its non-cooperation in the Centre's projects which is affecting the dreams of the people of the state. He made the remarks at his public programme at Parade Ground where he laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Bibinagar, Hyderabad. "I appeal to the state government to not allow any obstruction in developments being planned for Telangana people," he said.

  • Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said that "Parivarvaad (dynastic politics)" and corruption are not different. "Corruption begins to grow where there is 'parivarvaad'," he remarked.

    The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to admit a plea by the Opposition, alleging misuse of central probe agencies. The petition was filed by 14 parties led by the Congress.


    The petition alleged "arbitrary use" of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against political opponents by the BJP-led Centre. A bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices PS Narasimha and JB Pardiwala said that political leaders do not enjoy any immunity higher than common citizens.



  • The Prime Minister emphasised that Telangana's speedy progress is important for the overall progress of India.


  • Laying the foundation stone of various projects worth over Rs 11,300 crore, PM Modi said: "This NDA government considers it our duty to fulfil the dreams of citizens in Telangana."


  • "Telangana is reaping the benefits of the efforts being taken to modernise railways in the entire country," he said after he flagged off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express.


  • The Prime Minister highlighted that Rs 10 lakh crore was allotted for infrastructure modernisation in this year’s Union budget.

PM Modi Flags Off Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express, Lays Foundation Stone For AIIMS Bibinagar 


Soon after arriving in Telangana today, PM Modi flagged off the Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express.


He laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Bibinagar which is being developed at a cost of more than Rs. 1,350 crores. "The establishment of AIIMS Bibinagar is an important milestone in providing comprehensive, quality and holistic tertiary care health services to the people of Telangana at their doorstep," the PMO stated.


During the Programme, Prime Minister also laaid the foundation stone of National Highway projects worth more than Rs. 7,850 crores. As per the PMO, these road projects will strengthen the road connectivity of both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and will aid in the socio-economic development of the region.


After this event, PM Modi will head to Tamil Nadu to inaugurate the New Integrated Terminal Building (Phase- 1) of Chennai International Airport, developed at the cost of Rs. 1260 Crore.
