'Might Join BRS': KT Rama Rao Meets Ex-Telangana Congress Chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah Who Quit Party
Former Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah is also likely to meet CM KCR on Saturday, said BRS leader KT Rama Rao.
A day after the former Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah quit Congress, Telangana CM KCR’s son Rama Rao met and invited him to join BRS on Saturday. KT Rama Rao hinted that Ponnala might join BRS on October 16 in a public meeting at Jangaon. On Friday, former PCC President Lakshmaiah quit citing the "unjust environment" in the party. He served as the first PCC President of Telangana state.
Talking to reporters, Telangana Minister and BRS leader KT Rama Rao said, "We invite Ponnala Lakshmaiah to BRS. We will give him a suitable position in the party. He will meet the CM tomorrow. He might join BRS in a public meeting to be held at Jangaon on 16th October."

Lakshmaiah has resigned, posing a setback to Congress who are preparing to announce their candidate list for the November 30 assembly elections.
