Hyderabad: Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao and BJP MP Bandi Sanjay locked horns on Tuesday after the latter tried to take credit for the implementation of 'Nethanna Ku Bima' scheme in the state. On Monday, KT Rama Rao announced that Telangana government will extend insurance coverage to handloom and power loom weavers under the 'Nethanna Ku Bima' scheme from August 7 on National Handlooms Day.

However, Telangana BJP state president Bandi Sanjay soon countered the statement through Twitter. "Sleeping beauty slumbered at Pragathi Bhavan, woke up & announced Chenetha Bima after repeated nudging by @BJP4Telangana," he tweeted.

"A year ago CM KCR announced & now again same repeated by #TwitterTillu. Who is responsible for delay & answerable to kin of workers who suffered?" he asked in the tweet.

Minister Rama Rao replied to Bandi Sanjay Kumar's tweet and said, "Pretty rich coming from this joke of an MP who can’t even get a Mega Power Loom cluster sanctioned for his own Parliamentary constituency at Siricilla."

"BS Kumar, why don’t you tell us what NPA Govt did for weavers in Telangana in the last 8 years? Or you as an MP in Karimnagar?" asked KTR.
