India Beat Singapore in Men's Table Tennis At Commonwealth Games 2022: A stellar and dominating show from Indian paddlers led by Sharath Kamal, G. Sathiyan, and Harmeet Desai helped them beat the formidable Singapore 3-1, secure a Gold medal in the Table Tennis Men's Team event at Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham. With today's win, the men's Table Tennis team successfully defended their CWG gold in the Games. Paddlers Sathiyan and Harmeet won their singles matches and doubles match. This is India's second consecutive Commonwealth Games Gold medal for India in Men's Team event.


India won a gold in Men's Table Tennis event for the second time in CWG. They had won a gold back in the 2018 Gold Coast CWG. Like in 2018, this time too the Indian team had Achanta Sharath Kamal, G Sathiyan, Harmeet Desai and Sanil Shetty.






In the first doubles of the team event, the pair of Sathiyan and Harmeet registered a 3-1 win. They defeated Singapore's Yang Yek and Yu Peng 13-11, 11-7 and 11-5.  After this, Sharath Kamal had to face defeat in the singles match. But in the second singles match, India won 3-1. Sathiyan gave the team a 2-1 lead. In the end, Harmeet won his singles match to secure a gold medal for India.
