KCR's Grandson Receives Diana Award For Initiative To Make Villages Self-Sustainable, Thanks Telangana CM For Guidance

In a video, Himanshu Rao Kalvakuntla had explained the motive behind his initiative titled 'SHOMA'. With it, he aims to spread awareness about adulteration in food products and looks to empower rural population in producing unadulterated products.

Hyderabad: Himanshu Rao Kalvakuntla, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s grandson, has announced that he has been chosen for the Diana Award for his initiative titled 'SHOMA'.

K.T. Rama Rao's son took to Twitter and made this announcement, expressing his excitement over the recognition.

"With great delight, I announce that I have received my Diana Award for my tremendous Initiative SHOMA-Making Villages Self-Sustainable! More details will be announced soon!" he wrote.

He also thanked his grandfather, the Telangana CM for his guidance.

"My special Thanks to the People of Gangapur - Yosufkhanpally, my mentors, and of course my Grandfather who guided me throughout the project!" Himanshu wrote in his tweet.

Named after Diana, Princess of Wales, the Diana Award honors young people who work to improve the lives of others. It recognises social or humanitarian work done by young people aged 9 to 25.

He also shared 12 ambitious goals for the project. Some of these include reaching the point of no poverty by making villagers set up a small industry, zero hunger by creating self-employment, good health and well-being by promoting consumption of unadulterated food, renewable energy by implementing solar panels, along with good jobs and economic growth.
