India Waiting For Right Leader, Right Party, Says Telangana CM KCR

KCR said that he entered national politics to change the present political situation in the country.

Stating that the nation was passing through a difficult phase, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) President and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday made a pitch to save the country and its composite culture. 

Chandrashekar Rao said that the country is “waiting for the right leader and the right party” to get out of the current situation, vowing to never compromise on the unity and integrity of the country.

Speaking at an Iftar party hosted by the state government KCR said that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was turned into Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to make an effort to save the country. KCR said that he entered national politics to change the present political situation in the country.

"India is ours, and we have to save it at any cost. We will fight till the last drop of our blood but will not compromise on its unity and integrity. The current difficult phase that the country is going through is temporary. Some small problems may come. But, finally, justice will prevail,” KCR told the large gathering.

Referring to the progress made by Telangana under BRS rule, CM KCR said the state has no competition. The Chief Minister said that Telangana was progressing but the country was going backwards. If the Centre also worked like how the Telangana government functioned, the country would have progressed at much greater speed, he said.

Detailing out the achievements of Telangana state in the last nine years, KCR said that over the past nine years, Telangana’s per capita income has touched Rs 3.08 lakh, the per capita power consumption reached 2,140 units and paddy cultivation reached 66.40 lakh acres, the highest in the country.

“We have resolved power and drinking water issues and soon, the issue of unemployment will be resolved,” he said.

KCR further said that the BRS government has spent over Rs 12,000 crore for the welfare of minorities since it came to power in Telangana.

Ministers, Muslim leaders from BRS, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and tennis star Sania Mirza were among those who attended the Iftar event on Wednesday.
