A girl from Hyderabad who went to pursue higher education in Nottingham, United Kingdom (UK), was stabbed to death by a youth on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Tejaswini Reddy, a native of Brahamanapalli village in Hayatnagar mandal of Rangareddy district. Her parents are residents of Turkayamjal. According to ABP Desam, Tejaswini Reddy was staying with her friends. On Tuesday morning, a 23-year-old man attacked Tejaswini Reddy and another teenager, Akhila, with a knife. Tejaswini was seriously injured in the incident and died on the spot wnile Akhila sustained grievous injuries in the attack and was shifted to a hospital and was said to be out of danger.


The UK Metropolitan Police said that a 23-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murder and has been taken into custody. Two other individuals, a 23-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were also arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. The man remains in custody, while the woman was released without further action.

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, from the Met's Specialist Crime Command, said, "This has been a fast-moving investigation, and I would like to thank the public for sharing our appeal for information about this man. He is now in custody".


"I recognise the significant concern this incident has caused in the community, and I would like to reassure the public that a dedicated team of detectives is working to establish what happened. Local officers will remain in the area over the coming days to respond to any concerns," said Bradley.


Earlier, a girl from Hyderabad who went to the United Kingdom (UK) to pursue higher studies met with an accident and died in a sea wave. According to the PTI report, the girl's father, who resides in Hyderabad, said, she went to the UK to pursue a Masters' in space engineering and met with a tragic accident. According to the information we have received, the girl and her companions went to the location to unwind and relax after completing their exams. However, tragically, she lost her life, he stated.
