Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy suspended Bharatiya Janta Party's (BJP) Huzurabad MLA Eatala Rajender from Telangana Assembly on Tuesday for the rest of the ongoing session.
Addressing the House, Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy produced the resolution requesting the Speaker to suspend BJP MLA Eatala Rajender from Assembly after his "robot" remarks against the Speaker.
The suspension comes after the resolution moved by Minister for Legislative Affairs V Prashanth Reddy for refusing to say sorry for his robot remarks against the Speaker. Prashanth Reddy claimed that Eatala did not apologise despite being asked five times to do so.
When the Speaker asked Rajender to speak, "I have every right to speak as a member of the House," he said. Eatala claimed that the TRS members in power are pressuring him to apologise. In response, Prashanth Reddy stated that after offering the Speaker an apology, they want Eatala to take part in every debate in the Assembly.
Terming BJP MLA's remark derogatory and an insult to the Assembly, Prashanth Reddy had said if he failed to apologise, action will be initiated against him as per Assembly rules. After Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy asked the Speaker to take disciplinary action for not apologising for his remarks, Speaker Pocharam suspended Etala from the Assembly.

MLA Eatala Rajender refused to leave the house after being suspended from the house. He was forcefully shifted out of assembly, and police dropped him at home.
Meanwhile, Telangana BJP Cheif Bandi Sanjay Kumar condemned the suspension of BJP leader Eatala Rajender. He demanded action against CM KCR, who made comments in the Legislative Assembly calling Prime Minister a fascist.
He said that CM KCR, Minister KT Rama Rao, and MLC Kavitha did not fulfill their promises. The BJP leader further claimed that for questioning the ruling party, BJP MLAs are being targeted.
