'Brahmastra' was also the number one movie at the global box office during the weekend. This is the first time ever a Bollywood film has topped the worldwide box office charts and the third for any Indian film, all three happening in the last two years. Prior to Brahmastra, Vijay starrer Master and S.S. Rajamouli directed NTR Jr. and Ram Charan starrer 'RRR' were the ones to achieve this feat.
'Brahmastra' also became the first Asian movie to top the worldwide box office charts, by earning $26.50 million, outnumbering the Chinese film 'Give Me Five' and the Korean film 'Confidential Assignment 2: International'.
The science-fiction fantasy thriller that has an ensemble star cast with Ranbir and Alia in lead roles, has become a rage ever since its release, courtesy the grand scale of this magnum opus drama and the larger than life VFX.
