A renowned streamer, Zach Hoyt, also known as Asmongold, has been suspended from livestreaming platform Twitch for his foul comments on Palestine. The streamer, who has over five million followers over two channels said that Palestinians come from an 'inferior culture'. Hoyt has issued an apology on X and said that he will do better from now on. The Twitch channel on which this video was streamed is still unavailable.

Asmongold's apologetic post on X read, "Looking back on it, I was way too much of an a**hole about the Palestine thing. My bad. Of course no one deserves to have their life destroyed even if they do things or have views I find regressive. You guys deserve more than me saying stupid shit like that, I'll do better."

Community Guideline Violation

Twitch’s community guidelines clearly state that it prohibits any behavior that "promotes or encourages discrimination" and restricts content that "expresses inferiority based on a protected characteristic." Recently, streamer Asmongold has come under fire for comments deemed controversial, sparking backlash from fellow Twitch creators.

One prominent streamer, BrookeAB, who has 1.3 million followers, labeled his remarks as "straight up racism."

Hasan Piker, known as HasanAbi on Twitch, also addressed Asmongold during a stream prior to the ban, but Asmongold stood by his original statements.

During the same discussion, Asmongold expressed his opposition to Israel. He was streaming on his Zachrawrr channel, which has 1.9 million followers and is where he frequently discusses trending topics and news. His main channel, with 3.5 million followers, is used less frequently. However, under Twitch’s rules, suspended users are prohibited from using alternate accounts during their ban.
