Xiaomi To Bid Adieu To MIUI, Launch In-House HyperOS, CEO Lei Jun Confirms


Handset maker Xiaomi is set to bid adieu to its prorietary OS MIUI after 13 years, in favour of HyperOS that is slated to launch alongside the Xiaomi 14 lineup. According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, HyperOS will debut with the Xiaomi 14 series. He made the announcement on X, formerly Twitter on Tuesday. The Xiaomi 14 lineup is set to arrive later this year in company's home turf China, but global debut should take place in the early weeks of 2024.

Tesla Asked To Recall About 55K Model X Vehicles


Tech billionaire Elon Musk-owned Tesla has been ordered by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the US to recall 54,676 Model X vehicles. The US regulator has asked Tesla to recall the cars as the vehicle controller is “likely to fail to detect low brake fluid and not display a warning light”, reports Reuters.


Panasonic, Delhi Govt, Others Make Last Mile Connectivity App


Panasonic Holdings Corporation, in partnership with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the Transport Department, DMRC, Delhi government, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and ETO Motors Private Limited (ETO Motors) have introduced Sojo passenger app for last mile connectivity. Sojo app is a demonstration IT project developed by Panasonic India Innovation Centre (IIC) that intends to improve traffic congestion and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by enhancing passenger's convenience and transportation efficiency. In the pilot stage, DMRC passengers can use the Sojo app to book e-autos from Kalkaji Mandir Delhi metro station in addition to three other nearby stations (Okhla NSIC, Nehru Enclave and Nehru Place) to their destination.


Dubai's Smart Wearables Brand Launched TWS Buds In India


Dubai-based smart wearables brand Endefo has unveiled its True Wireless Earbuds (TWS) series in India. The lineup comprises five models: Enbuds 12, Enbuds 14, Enbuds 20, Enbuds 21, and Enbuds Aura. Endefo aims to redefine the audio experience for Indian consumers with new range of TWS bus that have prices starting at Rs 899, going up to Rs 1,499. The products will be available via more than 2,000 brick-and-mortar stores in India.
