Tier 2, 3 Sellers Lead Amazon Great Indian Festival 2023


E-commerce giant Amazon on Wednesday announced its Great Indian Festival 2023 witnessed the "best-ever start", with the highest-ever number of sellers (more than 65 per cent) hailing from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The company added that there was more than 35 per cent increase in small and medium businesses (SMBs) securing sales within the first 48 hours, as compared to last year. Women entrepreneurs and artisans showcased an extensive range of products and sold over 18 products every minute. 


Tesla Superchargers Free In Israel: Elon Musk


Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk made all Tesla superchargers in Israel free. The tech billionaire said that he hopes that “electricity and essential services are rapidly restored in Gaza”.The humanitarian situation in Gaza is "catastrophic" and hospitals are overwhelmed, as per Doctors Without Borders, noting that Israeli bombing of the enclave did not spare medical facilities.


AMD To Acquire AI Software Firm Nod.ai


AMD has announced a definitive deal to acquire Nod.ai, in a bid to expand its open AI software capabilities. Acquiring Nod.ai is a strategic investment that aims to help accelerate AMD's ability to deliver highly competitive and optimized AI solutions to a broad range of customers and supports the company’s AI strategy for long-term business growth. The agreement will bring a team of experts to AMD -- known for their substantial contributions to open-source AI software and deep expertise in AI optimizations.


X Corp Banned Over 5 Lakh Accounts In India in September


X Corp, formerly Twitter, banned a record 5,57,764 accounts in India between August 26 and September 25, mostly for promoting child sexual exploitation and non-consensual nudity. The company, going through a churning under tech billionaire Elon Musk who has recently appointed a new X CEO Linda Yaccarino, also took down 1,675 accounts for promoting terrorism on its platform in the country. In total, X banned 5,59,439 accounts in the reporting period in India. 


Redmi Note 12 5G Crosses 1 Million Shipments


Handset maker Xiaomi has announced that its Redmi Note 12 5G has surpassed 1 million shipments. The smartphone OEM claimed that the Redmi Note 12 has hit the mark "fastest".

Videotex Launches 75-Inch QLED Smart TV


Domestic original equipment manufacturer Videotex has unveiled a new 75-inch QLED smart TV powered by webOS Hub with camera support and remote PC. The new TV comes with an ultra-slim, bezel-less metal construction and comes with Dolby Audio Sound and ThinQ AI-based voice assistance. The TV also comes with a newly designed UI and an upgraded Realtek Chipset that enhances picture quality through AI-driven depth analytics.
