Microsoft India President Anant Maheshwari Resigns


Microsoft India President Anant Maheshwari has quit the company, the media reported on Friday. Maheshwari will leave the tech giant to "pursue other interests". Maheshwari's exit from Microsoft comes at a time when the company is reshuffling its top executives. A company spokesperson has confirmed that he has chosen to depart from Microsoft to pursue a role outside Microsoft, says a report by Moneycontrol. The tech giant has also expressed gratitude for his contribution to Microsoft's business in the country.

Mass Production Of iPhone 15 Starts In August


Apple is likely to unveil the iPhone 15 series this fall and the lineup is likely to enter mass production next month, according to analyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International Tech Research. In a big change, this year's iPhone Pro Max model will be different from last year's iteration and may come with a new periscope zoom lens that would be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max only. This means that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would have the best camera system among all the iPhone 15 series models, says a report by 9to5Mac. Apple has traditionally followed a trend where the Pro and Pro Max models have been spec-for-spec identical except for the screen size and battery size.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE Launch Date Leaked


The price of the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE with Snapdragon 888 chipset has leaked and the device is set to launch in India on July 10. According to a brand new leak on Twitter on Friday, the Galaxy S21 FE with SD 888 SoC could be launched on July 10. The price of the new model in the popular Galaxy Fan Edition (FE) series has also leaked online. The company had originally launched the Galaxy S21 Fan Edition model with its in-house Exynos 2100 processor in the country in January last year. The Galaxy S21 FE 5G model with SD chipset is confirmed to come with Adreno 660 GPU and 256GB of internal storage.

Koo Has Support Of Local Language Users, Says CEO


Koo co-founder and CEO Aprameya Radhakrishna said that Meta's newly launched microblogging app, Threads, does not pose a threat to the homegrown local-language-supporting social media platform. However, he acknowledged that Threads could "potentially threat to Twitter", as both platforms compete for the same English-speaking user base. The comment comes as Threads surpassed over 50 million user count within 24 hours of being launched.

Instagram Threads Launch: Twitter CEO 'We Are Often Imitated'


Meta-owned Instagram Threads, the new Twitter rival, has hit 30 million downloads. However, it is not clear if the initial success would translate into something bigger than micro-blogging site Twitter. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the feat on the platform and said it is the "beginning of something special." As of December 2022, Twitter's users accounted for over 368 million monthly active users globally, according to Statista.
