Netizens Awestruck By Stunning Life-Like Animated Portraits Of Bhagat Singh, Vivekananda, Kasturba Gandhi & More

New Delhi: Besides coming across viral videos and trends, social media can also be a platform to discover the impressive work and skills of people across the world. In a new instance, images of Indian historic figures have been brought to life through animation work.

Writer Keerthik Sasidharan shared a number of such animated images on Twitter that look so good as they appear very life-like.

Sharing a stunning AI image of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, he wrote "Kind of surreal to take a photo of the singularly inspiring Bhagat Singh -- a revolutionary voice in 1920s India, who was hung by the British in 1931, at the age of 24 -- run it through the Heritage AI algorithm, and see him reanimated".

The effect is so stunningly life-like. Adding to this he shared a portrait of Swami Vivekananda writing "Swami Vivekananda probably would have laughed at such algorithmic efforts to reanimate photos, but as a great believer in the powers of science to improve material aspects of human lives, he would have probably wanted to understand the details of how it all works".

He then went on to share similar AI photos of Lokmanya Tilak, Kasturba Gandhi, Aurobindo and Munshi Premchand.

Netizens were awestruck by this use of Artificial intelligence, while some expressed concerns over the general use of "deep fakes".
