The 2024 parade will mark a historic moment for the Republic Day Parade, with the inclusion of an all-women tri-services contingent. This groundbreaking contingent will feature women troops from the Army's military police and members from the other two services.

Emmanuel Macron's role as the Chief Guest marks the sixth occasion that a French president has held this prestigious position. The French contingent is set to participate in the parade for the second time.

This year's Republic Day festivities spotlight significant women's participation, with approximately 13,000 special guests invited to witness the parade. This inclusive approach aligns with the Government's vision of Jan Bhagidari, providing an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to actively engage in the national festival.
