New Delhi: 'Fighter' starring Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor was released in cinemas on Thursday, Jan 25, 2024. As the aerial action film begins to get great reviews from critics and fans who lined up for first day first show reviews across the country, there is a chance of 'Fighter; becoming another blockbuster thanks to the extended Republic Day weekend.
'Fighter' received a U/A certificate from the censor board with a runtime of 2 hours and 43 minutes. The movie which has been released across 4200 screens across the country has opened to a great response.
The advance bookings figure of 'Fighter' had also crossed the Rs. 7 cr mark with sales over 214,000 tickect, an ETimes report quoted. The expected final sale, as per the same report, will be around Rs. 8 cr.
As per industry's business tracking site Sacnilk, 'Fighter' will have an opening of Rs. 25 cr net in India with a growth depending upon word-of-mouth reviews. The Republic Day holicay will definitely give the film a great boost and the evening and night shows can expect a houseful turnout.
Meanwhile, another Sacnilk report stated that 'Fighter' is likely to make around Rs. 7.21 cr on the opening day through advance bookings alone.
However, despite the film being a Siddharth Anand film, 'Fighter' has not generated the same buzz as 'Pathaan' did in terms of the advance bookings collection. Only time will tell how the film fares at the box office.
In 'Fighter', we will see Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone come together for the first time. Their chemistry until now, through all of the promotional material seen, has been appreciated by all. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Talat Aziz, Sanjeev Jaiswal, and Ashutosh Rana in pivotal roles.
