Nothing might soon release Nothing OS 3.0 as the CEO Carl Pei teased the OS recently. Nothing has built a reputation for itself when it comes to social media marketing and they did the same with this. The tease of the upcoming OS update has created a buzz in the community. CEO Pei 'leaked' the new features along with the timeline for this update to make way to Nothing Phones. As per the leak, the upcoming Nothing OS 3.0 will feature customisable lock screens which would feature widgets.
Among other things, a dot animation feature was also observed which was hinted at in a separate post. As per the tweet of Pei, Nothing OS 3.0 will be launched in September, however no particular date was mentioned.
Nothing OS 3.0: New Features
Pei tweeted a couple of images showcasing the new lock screen customisation feature. While tweeting them, he wrote, “Sorry in advance to the team for this leak... but I'm too excited!” In the post made by him, one of the images revealed three different lock screen views with unique customisation. The first picture displayed the default lock screen with the clock, day and date along with the quick access buttons at the bottom.
The second picture showcased a combination of the “Clock + Widget” option which also sports the weather update. In this, we can see the clock, weather, a shortcut for quick action, and date.
The third look is the “Expanded Widget Area” which will likely offer more information on the lock screen. If we look at the image shared by him in the tweet above, we can clearly see a big analogue clock and day. The date tile takes the space given to the clock in the previous two lock screens. It also features widgets for quick action, weather, and contacts.
