As per Downdetector's Instagram outage and reported problems map (screenshot below), outage issues appeared to be mostly reported from cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Lucknow, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. As per user reports on social media, users are unable to view photos or profile photos on the app.

The latest outage notably occurred just hours ahead of the rollout of Instagram's Twitter rival, Threads, which is officially set to roll out to Indian users today (July 6).
