New Delhi: Handset maker Xiaomi on Wednesday launched its flagship smartphone Xiaomi 12 Pro in the country after a series of leaks and rumours. The company also launched the Xiaomi Pad 5 after a gap of seven years and also launched its most premium TV yet, the Xiaomi OLED Vision 55. The company also unveiled a new smart TV, the Xiaomi Smart TV 5A series. The flagship Xiaomi 12 Pro is the successor to the Xiaomi 11 series and will go on sale starting May 2 at a starting price of Rs 62,999.
Xiaomi 12 Pro prices and offers
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has been unveiled in two storage options in India and it comes in three colours: Pink, Blue and Black. The 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage variant costs Rs 62,999 while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant costs Rs 66,999. Under an introductory offer, there is a discount of Rs 6,000 off on ICICI Bank cards.
Xiaomi 12 Pro features and specs
The flagship Xiaomi 12 Pro 5G features a 6.73-inch E5 AMOLED display with a WQHD+ resolution and refresh rate of 120Hz. There is a protective layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with a peak brightness of 1500 nits. There is LTPO 2.0 that can adjust the screen refresh rate from 120Hz to 1Hz based on content. The flagship device is powered by the top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. For imaging, the camera module houses a triple camera setup with 50MP wide sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto sensor and another 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and for selfies and video calling, there is a hole-punch cutout at the front that houses the 32MP shooter.
Like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is equipped with Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The device is fueled by a 4,600mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast and 50W wireless fast charging. The smartphone runs Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box. COnnectivity options include a USB Type-C port, 5G, NFC and Bluetooth 5.2.
