Sony Xperia Pro C, featuring top-end Zeiss cameras, has appeared in the rumour mill, and is expected to be unveiled following the recent launches of the Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI. According to leaks from an X user called INSIDER SONY, the upcoming model, potentially named the Xperia Pro C, will boast advanced camera capabilities within a more compact framework than its predecessor, the 2021 Xperia PRO-I. This new device is anticipated to cater to photography enthusiasts with its high-end specifications.

Sony Xperia Pro C Specifications (Expected)

The Xperia Pro C is rumoured to sport a 6-inch OLED display featuring an anti-reflection coating, a reduction from the previous 6.5-inch screen, but maintaining a 2K resolution akin to the Xperia 1 VI. Continuing its collaboration with ZEISS, Sony will integrate this renowned camera technology into the new model.

Key camera specifications include a primary 1-inch 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 20mm focal length, equipped with optical image stabilization. This main camera is expected to support RAW 12-bit and 14-bit DCG RAW shooting, possibly utilizing an OmniVision sensor.

Additionally, the Xperia Pro C is likely to feature a 12-megapixel secondary camera with autofocus, capable of 4K recording at 120fps. It will support a 10-bit 420 S-LOG gamma curve and HLG recording, along with potential support for 60fps RAW recording, Sony S-Cine-tone, and Creative Look. Another 12MP lens, also with a 20mm focal length, may offer 4K 60fps HDR recording, although details on its zoom capabilities remain undisclosed.

The new device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Despite its smaller display, the Xperia Pro C will reportedly include a larger 5000mAh battery and a 45W PD fast charging feature.

The launch of the Xperia Pro C is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2024, positioning it as a significant contender in the market for professional-grade camera smartphones.
