New Delhi: Xiaomi is set to launch the Poco M4 Pro 5G smartphone in India, almost three months after it was unveiled in select European markets in Cool Blue, Poco Yellow, and Power Black colours. According to the official Twitter handle of Poco Twitter and other social media handles of the smartphone OEM, the device will be officially unveiled in India on February 15. Poco India's tweet was accompanied by a brief video that revealed the Poco M4 Pro's launch date. The smartphone OEM's other social media channels have also posted the same clip. 


"Get ready to #StepUpUrGame with the all-new POCO M4 Pro 5G. Launching on 15th February. #StayTuned #POCOIndia #MadeofMad," Poco India tweeted on Tuesday.


The budget Poco M4 Pro 5G was made available in Europe for EUR 229 which is roughly Rs 19,500) for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model and EUR 249 which is roughly Rs 21,200 for the 6GB/128GB storage model. Originally unveiled in November, the Poco M4 Pro is essentially a rebranded Redmi Note 11 which was launched in the company's home turf China earlier in October.


Expected specs and features of the upcoming Poco M4 Pro include a 6.6-inch full-HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will run on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 for Poco atop. The phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset. In terms of camera specs, the Poco M4 Pro 5G will sport a 50MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor while there will be a 16MP selfie camera.


Another budget smartphone to be unveiled this month is the Realme C35, but it is not clear when it will be launched in India. Realme is set to refresh its budget C series with the Realme C35 on February 10 and it is likely to sport a triple rear camera set-up.
