Contradicting previous reports, a new leak suggests that the Nothing Phone 1 may feature an under-display fingerprint scanner. Previous reports suggested that the Nothing Phone 1 could come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, however a new leaked video suggests that the phone would come with an under-display fingerprint sensor.

According to a tweet posted by Twitter radioactive who goes by the name @floozz3, the Nothing Phone 1 could be seen being unlocked by pressing down on an in-display fingerprint sensor under the display. "Nothing phone 1 under-display fingerprint confirmed on tiktok," radioactive tweeted. You can watch a short video posted on Twitter on how the Nothing Phone 1 is being unlocked through a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display.

Former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei's company Nothing is set to launch its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone 1, which is also one of the most talked-about Android smartphones right now, will be launched on July 12.

Nothing has started giving away NFTs

Meanwhile, as anticipated, consumer tech brand Nothing is giving away Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to its community investors, the company has recently announced. The first release of NFT tokens would be made available for early investors, according to Nothing. The NFTs, called "Black Dot NFTs" would be made available for Nothing's early investors. Future airdrops of NFTs would be available for buyers who pre-order the company's first smartphone, Nothing Phone 1.

The company's tapping into NFTs was recently teased by Nothing founder Carl Pei. "We are all Dots. Let's connect the dots. Stay tuned for tomorrow," Pei had tweeted.

Earlier last week, images of the Nothing Phone 1 in black colour surfaced for the first time, courtesy of WinFuture and famed leakster Roland Quandt. It looks pretty similar to the white variant of Nothing Phone 1, albeit for some subtle changes. The leaked images suggest that the LED lighting bars have been tuned to grey colour instead of white. The flat sides of the chassis of the smartphone are matte black in colour.
