New Delhi: Domestic consumer tech brand Noise on Wednesday launched "Noise Labs", an innovation incubator, with an aim to develop new ideas and build tech solutions to meet the evolving consumer demands in the country. The homegrown brand's announcement coincides with National Technology Day and it told ABP Live that Noise Labs will also serve as its nerve centre for all things R&D and innovation in the country.
Through Noise Labs, the company also intends to provide employment opportunities to the youth in India. The homegrown brand makes budget and accessible smartwatches and audio devices.
"Noise Labs will allow us to engage in larger projects in collaboration with individuals and enterprises sharing this vision. At present, we have a five-member R&D team and we see this aggressively growing. Through this lab, we are targeting young individuals with strong ideas to come in front and develop some futuristic offering," Amit Khatri, Co-founder, Noise told ABP Live.
In line with the central government’s Make in India and "Atmanirbhar Bharat" schemes, the brand, through its innovation incubator, will encourage local manufacturing and engineering of products and solutions. The company's current consumer base ranges from early adopters to technology enthusiasts. It should be noted that India's smartwatch market grew 173 per cent (on-year) in the first quarter (Q1) this year led by Noise. According to Counterpoint Research, Noise led the market with a 23 per cent share, followed by Fire-Boltt with a 21 per cent share and boAt with an 18 per cent market share.
