British audio major Marshall on Monday launched a new offering in the Indian market: the Major V on-ear headphones. Marshall Major V headphones can be pre-ordered now and will be available for purchase starting July 2 through the company's official website. The Marshall Major V comes with  an extensive feature set aimed at catering to music lovers' everyday needs, including a claimed battery life exceeding 100 hours and the convenience of wireless charging, among other features.

The Marshall Major V headphones is engineered to produce the distinctive Marshall audio profile, with improvements aimed at minimising distortion and enhancing sound clarity, according to the British audio major. The battery life, surpassing 100 hours of wireless use, makes it well-suited for extended listening periods, whether during lengthy trips or throughout the day. When power eventually runs low, users can fully recharge the headphones in a three-hour span using USB-C connectivity.

The Marshall Major V headphones feature a durable built designed for daily use, featuring a robust-yet-foldable frame for easy portability. A notable feature is the M-button, which provides quick access to customisable functions through the Marshall Bluetooth app. By default, this button activates Spotify Tap, but users can reconfigure it to access equaliser presets or voice assistants.


Wireless charging capability adds convenience to the Major V headphones, allowing users to recharge by simply placing the headphones on a compatible charging pad. Both the Major V and Minor IV models come with Bluetooth LE Audio support, promising enhanced audio quality, extended range and improved synchronisation for video content.


"With Major IV we broke the mould with 80+ hours of playtime, but Major V go miles further by taking that total to 100+ hours," Martin Wennberg, Product Manager for Marshall headphones, said in a statement.
