As we inch closer to the expected launch of the Apple iPhone 14 series in September, a new leak suggests that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro would also arrive in a purple colour variant. According to a leak by a tipster named Jioriku the iPhone 14 would be launched in six colour variants while the iPhone 14 Pro model would be unveiled in five colour options and one of those would be a purple variant.

"Quick dump of the current iPhone 14 knowledge I've got that I can share. Please note that this is a lot of confirmations more than new stuff. Also, sing a new system to rate how much weight I'd put behind leaks! Look for a πŸš€and note that 5/5 is 100% in my book. Ok, here we go!," @Jioriku posted on Twitter.

"Colors are as follows this year: iPhone 14 gets: Green, Purple, Blue, Black, White and Red. (Pink is replaced with purple from what I'm told) πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€ iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max gets: Green, Purple, Silver, Gold, and Graphite. Purple takes the place of Sierra Blue as I'm told πŸš€πŸš€πŸš€," the tipster added.

The same leakster had last year predicted correctly that iPhone 13 would get the ability to be unlocked by using just the iPhone user’s eyes with a mask on. He also mentioned that the iPhone 14 lineup would support 30W wired charging.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 series may go official sometime in September and the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro could come with the same screen size.

According to a report by ITHome published in July, the Cupertino, California-headquartered company has begun trial production of the iPhone 14 series and it plans to mass-produce the lineup this month. The report mentioned citing sources familiar with the matter Apple has told its suppliers that the early sales of the iPhone 14 will be higher compared to last year's iPhone 13.

What else to expect from the Apple iPhone 14 series?

According to a previous report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the much-useful always-on display that Android smartphones got some years back is finally coming to this year's Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. The always-on display will be added to the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro variants with iOS 16 that was recently unveiled. The always-on display feature will let the upcoming iPhones display a limited amount of information even while they are locked.
