Handset maker OnePlus on Wednesday unveiled the much-awaited OnePlus 10T globally, including in India. The OnePlus 10T is the newest device in the OnePlus 10-series of flagship smartphones and it is the most powerful OnePlus smartphone yet. The OnePlus 10T 5G is powered by top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and comes with 16GB of RAM, which is a first for a OnePlus device.


“We’re incredibly excited to have launched the OnePlus 10T 5G and OxygenOS 13 with our fans and partners in New York City,” Pete Lau, Founder of OnePlus, said in a statement.


“The OnePlus 10T 5G takes our signature fast and smooth performance to the next level at an extremely competitive price point and OxygenOS 13 advances our operating system with a burdenless design and expanded features requested by our users – like an improved selection of always-on displays." 


OnePlus 10T prices, specs and features


As expected, the smartphone will be available in two colour variants: Jade Green and Moonstone Black. The OnePlus 10T comes with "OnePlus’ burdenless design" and features a unibody build. There's a 6.7-inch display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is also HDR10+ certified and has native support for 10-bit colour. 


The price of the OnePlus 10T starts at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB+128GB storage model. There are two more storage models which are priced at Rs 54,999 for 12GB+256GB storage and Rs 55,999 for 16GB+256GB model. The OnePlus 10T 5G will go on sale in India starting today (August 3) on OnePlus.in, OnePlus Store App, Amazon.in, OnePlus Exclusive Stores and the company's partner outlets. The availability of 16GB RAM model will become available at a later date. 


At this price point, the OnePlus 10T competes with the newly-launched iQOO 9T which also comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.


In terms of imaging, the OnePlus 10T sports a triple camera system at the back led by a 50MP main Sony IMX766 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a macro camera. The phone supports 150W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition which claims to offer up to a day’s power with just 10 minutes of charging, and a full charge  from 1-100 per cent will take only 19 minutes. 


The handset maker added that the OnePlus 10T’s charging system is made safe and efficient by a series of technologies, like the Battery Health Engine which extends the lifespan, and preserves the capacity of the OnePlus 10T’s 4,800 mAh battery. The OnePlus 10T’s charging system comes with two charging pumps, instead of one on many other smartphones, for faster-charging speeds with better safety, improved efficiency and reduced heat. 


The OnePlus 10T will be shipped OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12 and will receive three major Android updates and four years of security updates.


OnePlus launches OxygenOS 13


The smartphone brand also unveiled its next-gen Android 13-based custom skin OxygenOS 13 which is likely to be rolled out for 3 and we should be able to see it coming later this year to all supported OnePlus phones as well.


According to the company, OxygenOS 13 will launch first on the OnePlus 10 Pro, followed by the OnePlus 10T later this year. Other OnePlus devices that will receive OxygenOS 13 include the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9RT, OnePlus 10R, OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus Nord 2T, OnePlus Nord CE, OnePlus Nord CE 2, and the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite.
