The once iconic phone maker HTC's first handset of 2022 is the HTC Desire 22 Pro, which is a mid-range device with 120Hz refresh rate and it would let users manage their metaverse content, cryptocurrency as well as NFTs. The company is deeming the device as the phone you "carry into the future".


As the competition in the metaverse space continues to heat up, now, HTC has become the latest brand to say the HTC Desire 22 Pro will somehow help you "enter the metaverse". The smartphone features a 6.6-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels along with a 120 Hz refresh rate that would render clarity to images and videos. "Enjoy a rich view of the metaverse even without a VR headset using VIVERSE, your gateway to cross-platform collaborations, virtual events, entertainment, and more," the company said in a statement.


The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. There's a 4520mAh battery to power users' first what HTC calls "VIVERSE experience" with fast charging, wireless charging and even reverse charging. In terms of imaging, the HTC Desire 22 Pro has a triple rear camera set-up led by a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor and for selfies, there's a 32MP front-facing camera.


The Desire 22 Pro comes with a damage-resistant Gorilla Glass screen along with IP67-level protection against water and dust.
