The Google Pixel 8 series is set to be launched in India soon and the lineup has been listed on e-commerce site Flipkart. The site also has a reminder of the pre-order date for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. The Pixel 8 line will be up for pre-orders in the country on October 5, a day after the officiall unveiling at the company's 'Made by Google' event, in an annual refresh. According to leaks and rumours, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will come with an identical design, but the pricier Pixel 8 Pro would have beefier specs and bigger overall size.

Google Pixel 8 Line India Launch, Price And Pre-Order Details


The tech giant is expected to host its "Made by Google" event on 4 October at 7:30 PM IST and the launch event can be live-streamed on YouTube as well as the online Google Store website. Similar to previous models, the Pixel 8 line will be available for pre-order in India only via Flipkart, on October 5, a day after the official launch. The prices of the upcoming Google Pixel 8 is likely to start at $699, which roughly translates into Rs 58,097 while the Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, may come at a starting price of $899 which roughly translates into Rs 74,720. The actual starting prices of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will of course vary.


E-commerce site Flipkart is also set to host its "Big Billion Days Sale" thatstarts on October 8 and the site began showing the upcoming Google Pixel 8 series.

Apart from hardware announcements, Google is also expected to reveal more about Android 14, including its rollout and features. A new leak says that the Pixel 8 lineup will see a price increase in the US. With the inclusion of in-house Tensor chipsets in the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models, a huge portion of selling the Pixel flagships has been on value.


The Google Pixel 8 is likely to come with a 6.2-inch Full HD+ OLED display with 60-120Hz of refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. The vanilla Pixel 8 may offer 8GB of RAM with two storage configurations: 256GB and 128GB, similar to its predecessor, Pixel 7 line. The better-specced Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, may come with a bigger 6.7-inch Quad HD+ LTPO OLED screen with a refresh rate of 1-120Hz. The peak brightness will be increased and will likely be up to 2,400 nits. 


A recent report by Android Authority report states that the Pixel 8 lineup will also see a significant price increase in Europe as well. As per leaked prices of Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8 in Europe, buyers will see an increase of more than 30 per cent on average in the price of a Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro, and European buyers would have to shell out an extra €200-€300 to buy one of the upcoming flagships from the house of Google, the report added.
