New Delhi: Google Wednesday unveiled its Google Pixel 6a at the Google I/O 2022 developer conference. It is the third device in the Pixel 6-series. It is likely to be available for sale from July. The tech conglomerate also announced the Pixel Buds Pro, which offer active noise cancelling, powered by a new custom audio processor. 


Google said Pixel 6a will be coming to India later this year.

Google Pixel 6A: Specs, Price, Camera, Other Features 


The affordable A-series smartphone follows the set design trend similar to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with a raised horizontal camera bump, and a two-tone body. Pixel 6a comes with a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate. It has a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout on the top for the front camera, while the rear gets a horizontally-aligned camera-bar spanning across the breadth, just like the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro had. The camera setup comprises a 12.2-megapixel main camera, which is less rubust that the 50-MP main camera on the Pixel 6, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a single 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. 


Software-based camera features Magic Eraser and Nightsight come as add-ons.


The Google Pixel 6a boasts of the Tensor GS101 chipset, which also powers the other two Pixel 6 phones. Besides, there is 6GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB storage.


The Pixel 6a comes with Android 12, a 4,500mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The phone also has stereo speakers, and Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC for connectivity.


The Google Pixel 6A is priced at $449, which is about Rs 34,700 in Indian currency.


Pixel Buds Pro Features and Price 


Besides active noise cancelling, the Google Pixel Buds Pro come with a 'transparency mode'. It offers 11 hours of battery life, or 7 hours if ANC is turned on. The earbuds will have the new feature of integration with Google Assistant, and get a Spatial Audio later this year after an update. If lost or misplaced, Google’s Find My Device app can be able to locate your Pixel Buds Pro.


You can have the Pixel Buds Pro for $199, or about Rs 15,400.
