Dreame Technology, a key player in the smart home appliances industry, on Monday named Manu Sharma as the new Managing Director (MD) for its India operations. Sharma's appointment comes after departure from his role as the head of Carl Pei-led consumer tech brand Nothing India in January 2024, where he served for three years.
Sharma To Boost Dreame's India Operations
In his new position at Dreame, Sharma will be tasked with crafting and implementing strategic plans to boost the company's growth and establish a robust brand presence in India. His responsibilities will include overseeing regional product strategy, marketing efforts, sales operations, and building a local team.

Sharma brings substantial experience to Dreame, having spent over 25 years in the consumer electronics industry. His career includes notable positions such as Vice President and Head of Product Strategy at Samsung India, as well as a 12-year tenure at Hewlett-Packard (HP) in various key business roles.
Dreame India has expressed its commitment to delivering high-quality products and services under Sharma's leadership, aiming to maintain its position as an innovator in customer-focused solutions and smart home appliances. The company introduced its L10s Pro Ultra Heat robot vacuum cleaner, featuring MopExtend technology, earlier this month.
"I am excited to lead Dreame’s India business and I look forward to working with the team to build Dreame’s brand presence, operational capabilities and deliver innovative products that resonate with our consumers," Sharma said in a statement.
Departure From Nothing India
To recall, in December last year Sharma, the then vice president and general manager of Nothing India announced his departure from the company. He had cited personal reasons for leaving the company and "expressed confidence" in Nothing India's strong product lineup for 2024. He had made the announcement via a LinkedIn post.
In February 2021, London-headquartered Nothing had appointed Sharma, previously senior director of mobile business at Samsung India.
