Chennai: In a video that has frightened many people, a tiger was spotted near a Golf Course in Ooty of Tamil Nadu. The big cat has also reportedly killed a cow and preyed on it at the same place.

Ananth Rupanagudi, an officer with Indian Railway Accounts service said, "This was at the edge of the Golf course in Ooty - the big cat with its meal! #tiger #golfcourse."

The video showed the big cat looking around and moving a dead cow that it had killed to feast on. The tiger was also seen dragging and eating the prey.

One of the social media user said, "At Tollygunge Club in #Kolkata, one of the poshest clubs in town, there have a few foxes running around in packs for ages. They have never harmed any humans. Kids run around, often chase them. They respect the man-beast demarcation. This is way out of whack!"

Another user asked, "Geez, is this a golf course in the middle of a pristine forest? Otherwise you don't see tigers in the city except in zoos, it's dangerous, both for the staff and the people playing, and if it comes out when you're not careful it's going to cause some accidents"

Third user said, “Think, those tigers must be careful when humans play there. We have encroached their living space for our entertainment! (Not a troll, but a fact about us!).”

The tiger has been spotted a day after a leopard entered a residential area and attacked a biker and a forest staffer in Mysuru of Karnataka.
