BRS MLC Kavitha called Congress MP Rahul Gandhi an 'Election Gandhi' since he allegedly visited the state only during elections. Charging the Congress party, Kavitha said that the party leaders were giving guarantees and making false promises. On Wednesday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi are set to visit Telangana and launch high-octane electioneering for Telangana Assembly Elections 2023.

According to ANI, BRS MLC K Kavitha said, "There is an atmosphere of elections in Telangana...Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi are coming here today. They are giving guarantees and making false promises. They never do what the Congress party says...I would call Rahul Gandhi 'Election Gandhi' because he visits the state only during elections..."

From October 18, Rahul Gandhi will cover eight constituencies in the 3-day yatra in the poll-bound state. During the yatra, Rahul Gandhi will meet workers from the state-run mining firm Singareni Collieries and attend public meetings in Peddapalli and Karimnagar, where he will spend the night on October 19.

He is scheduled to attend a meeting with farmers in Jagtial on October 20 and take part in programmes in Nizamabad and Armoor.

It is anticipated that Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi's visit will strengthen Telangana Congress. Elections for the Telangana Assembly are set to take place on November 30, as per the Election Commission of India. The counting of votes will be done on December 3.
