New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor attended the National Film Award ceremony while his wife and actor Alia Bhatt received her award for Best Actor in Delhi on Tuesday. The veteran actor Waheeda Rehman, who was presented with the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award, was seated in the front row, while the pair was in the second row.
During the event, Waheeda was surrounded by paparazzi who wanted to take pictures of her and even started pushing the table that was in front of her. Ranbir intervened on behalf of Waheeda, got up from his seat, and urged photographers to take care. The video is now going viral on the internet. Fans couldn't stop praising Ranbir for his gesture in the comments section of a video from the National Film Awards ceremony that surfaced online.

Waheeda Rehman was clearly moved when she stood up on stage to accept the honour. She presented the award to the entire film industry, stating that an actor would be nothing without the help of the directors and other members of the production team.
Ranbir Kapoor was accompanying Alia Bhatt to the National Film Awards ceremony and was spotted taking pictures of her as she was honoured with the Best Actor award by President Droupadi Murmu. For her role in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', which took home numerous awards, Alia received her first National Film Award. Alia's decision to get dressed in her bridal saree on her big day was the main focus of her look.
After the event, Ranbir gave Kriti Sanon, who bagged the National Film Award for her performance in 'Mimi', a warm hug and congratulated her on her impressive victory. He was spotted greeting Allu Arjun as well.
