Tamil Nadu: Income Tax Dept Raids Places Linked To KH Exports India Pvt Limited
The I-T slueths conducted raids at 60 places linked to KH Groups in Chennai, Ambur and Puducherry.
Chennai: Income Tax officials on Tuesday started to raid more than 60 places linked to a private leather group of companies across Tamil Nadu. While the I-T sleuths started the raids at the factory in Ambur, they also began to conduct searches in KH Group’s office at College Road in Nungabakkam, Chennai.

On Wednesday, 110 officers led by Income Tax Deputy Commissioner Krishna Prasad and 70 police officers reached in more than 25 vehicles at more than 10 factories owned by a private leather and footwear factory operating in the surrounding areas of Ambur.
They also started to raid Farida Leather Company, which is linked to KH Group of companies. In Nungambakkam, the slueths started to conduct a search at the places belonging to Farida Group company on Wednesday.

In 1947, Khizar Hussain started an export company in Ranipet. In 1985, another subsidiary organisation Rabia Leather Industries Private Limited was started by the parent company. In 2013, the founders renamed the company as KH Exports India Private Limited. The company also owns KH Shoes, MA Khizar Hussain & Sons and KH Arind Private Limited.
According to the website of KH Group, "KH Exports India Private Limited ranks among the most diversified leather enterprises in India. The group has well-intergrated factories each a result of planned, strategic expansion from raw hides to value-added products."
The company's website also said that they do not employ any child for their operations.
