In a release, Stalin earlier said, "The Enforcement Department raided the residence of Minister Senthil Balaji yesterday morning. He fully cooperated with the investigation. In this case, they unnecessarily trespassed the Minister's room in the Chief Secretariat, which is full of confidential files related to the security of Tamil Nadu in the name of investigation."

The ED has also mentally and physically harassed Balaji. They went to an extent that made Senthil Balaji suffer chest pain, he said.'

CM said: "Till 2 am, they kept pressuring him and then took him to the hospital. Now he's admitted to ICU. Even after he said that he will cooperate in the investigation, why did they torture him? We can clearly see the wrong intentions of those who sent these officials. They acted in an inhuman manner. DMK will not be afraid of this kind of intimidation by BJP. People will teach them a lesson in 2024."
