Chennai: Tamil Nadu BJP demanded a probe by National Investigation Agency (NIA) into the petrol bomb attack on party headquarters at T Nagar in Chennai on Wednesday. The BJP state president Annamalai also alleged that the law and order of the state are deteriorating after DMK came into power.

Addressing the reporters, Annamalai said, "BJP demands an NIA probe to find out the anti-national forces behind the crime. The conspirators should be held accountable and those persons should be punished."

Annamalai said, the arrest of the history-sheeter is funny and cannot be accepted. There is a distance between the arrested person and NEET. We are not even sure if he knows about the educational updates.”

“In this backdrop saying that he hurled the bomb since he was against the stand of BJP in the NEET issue is unacceptable. No individual can attack BJP unless there is a bigger conspiracy. Hence, an NIA probe should be conducted,” he said.

Meanwhile, the BJP president Annamalai also accused the Tamil Nadu intelligence wing of tapping his phone from the time of formation of the DMK-led government. He also said that his security was reduced from Y-category to X category.
