Simbu Fans Celebrate Actor's Movie Release By Giving Away Tomatoes To Audience At A Chennai Theatre
Fans of Actor Simbu presented tomatoes to the audience who came to watch the movie 'Maanaadu' in Meenakshi Theatre, Avadi, Chennai
Chennai: Amidst several doubts and purterbed questions, Simbu-starrer Maanaadu released on Friday. Making it to screens after a long time, fans were in raptures watching the blockbuster film. On the flip side, with a constant price hike of tomatoes, there is a growing concern amongst people and farmers. Meanwhile, actor Simbu fans, started giving away 1 kg tomatoes to the people watched the film at the Meenakshi theatre in Chennai.
Simbu-starrer 'Maanaadu' was released on Friday amidst various questions as to whether the film will be released or not. However, the sudden release became a joyous moment for his fans as it became a biggest blockbuster of the season.

As a highlight to the celebration of this occasion, the youths from the Simbu Rasigar Manram (fan club) who arrived at the Meenakshi Theater in Avadi, Chennai to watch 'Maanaadu' have presented tomatoes to the audience. With the price of tomatoes soaring to an all-time high, Simbu fans presenting one kilo of tomatoes each to more than a hundred people has delighted the public.
It has been said that they bought tomatoes in 8 containers with 25 kilograms of tomatoes in each container. Arrangements for this were made by the fan club led by Simbu Madan. As the price of tomatoes has gone up across Tamil Nadu, and that many restaurants and some shops have been advertising that tomatoes can be bought for free if they buy their products, this gesture by Simbu's fans have grabbed eye balls.
Actor Simbu-starrer Maanaadu directed by Venkat Prabhu faced various problems since the project was launched. It was first announced that this movie would be released on the ocassion of Diwali to compete with Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe'. Later, it was announced that the movie would be postponed to November 25 due to unavoidable reasons.
However, the producer of the film, Suresh Kamatchi, tweeted the day before that the release of the film will be postponed again. While this created confusion among Simbu's fans, it was again announced that the film would be released as planned the same evening.
